A lost decade of climate inaction
This Nature comment by Joeri Roeglj and others, based on a new synthesis of emissions gap reports, shows what a wasted decade means for the climate pact made in Paris in 2015.
With countries not even on track to achieve their now plainly inadequate 2015 pledges, we now need much more ambitious climate pledges plus early and aggressive action, otherwise the Paris agreement’s long-term goals will be out of reach.
