Chasing clouds podcast with The Climate Press and EUREC4A
A new podcast from our friends at The Climate Press investigates the EUREC4A field campaign:
EUREC4A is an international initiative in support of the World Climate Research Programme’s Grand Science Challenge on Clouds, Circulation and Climate Sensitivity. The field campaign took place between 20 January and 20 February 2020 with operations based out of Barbados.
EUREC4A aims to advancing understanding of the interplay between clouds, convection and circulation and their role in climate change. But why is the project important? How’s a day in the life of an atmospheric scientist during a field campaign? How do they take measurements of clouds?
In the episode, special interviewer, Anna Lesbros, a 14-year-old student discovers how research is carried out at the University. Anna goes to the heart of the campaign and interviews eight scientists contributing to the project, including scientific co-ordinator and CONSTRAIN scientist Sandrine Bony.
